Anyone here from the East Bay?
< on 1/30/2019 10:59 PM >

Hey everyone, was wondering if there were any active members here from the East Bay?? I've been into UE for several years now with my friends and was hoping to link with anyone who shares the same interest.

East bay here! Lots of familiar spots... definitely some older pictures given that a bunch of those are demolished.

Yeah I thought I’d drop the older flicks as a means of just getting them out there haha. Definitely going to be posting more recent content soon.

Those are some nice shots, definitely recognize a few of them. I’m up in North Bay now but I still go to a few spots down there every once in awhile with some friends.

Yep East Bay here too. Great spots man and some familiar. I have been mapping the creeks and tracks around my area. I found some cool spots.

Sup dude nice to meet you! I'm glad to see that there are some active East Bay UER members on here. I'm East Bay as well and semi active.
I know quite a bit about draining but I'm not able to explore a lot as I am pretty busy.

We all should meet up sometime!

Same, there’s some new stuff down in Hayward that’s I’ve found. We should check ‘em out sometime.

Yeah that would be great! I’m usually free on Fridays and weekends so anytime then would be cool.

South Bay here, but I’ve been meaning to get out more. I could probably link.

In regards to photo #27, people actually use that ladder..?

The ladder was actually cut off halfway haha. My friend climbed down a bit just for the picture

Question about image 1. I know where this is and have been exploring the canal in the last week. This a long canal and it is full great art work. Where did you enter the canal? The walls are pretty tall and would require a rope to climb down. Any POE tips? Also going to wait for the water levels to go down before I attempt a climb down.

Keep exploring and you should find a way down! Also would be a good idea to bring waterproof shoes or boots, mine got wrecked the first time I went.

I have an idea where I can enter the canal but I will take your advice and get some waterproof boots. There so much water in the canal you can probably float an inflatable raft down the canal.

It is very very dangerous to use rafts though, a lot of things can go wrong.

Not from East Bay, but living in SF city and keen on doing day trips here or further out. HMU if you'd like a partner!

I haven't explored that much recently, none of my local friends are into this stuff. I lived in Berlin for a few years and would explore when the right friends were in town. Back in England where I'm from, a bunch of us used to break into these formal fancy parties at our university and that's how I developed a taste for this stuff.

Most recently I took a colleague to Mare Island Naval Shipyard. It was easier than I thought, it's undergoing redevelopment but all the workers totally ignored us and we walked around pretty freely taking photographs even in the "No Trespassing" areas.

That’s awesome, I’ve always wanted to get into the old hospital thats there but last time I went it sounded like it was infested with bats.
So thats a no go lol.
