Just went through my inbox of private messages from Blackhawk, he was having problem with the above named moderator back in August of 2017. If I continue to look through my backlog of messages, these problems may stem even further back.....in other words, shit has been going down for a year now!

So now that I have a moment to sit down at a computer and type something, instead of just lurking, I'll go ahead and respond to you.

Your intense hate for me is fascinating. Buster Posey wasn't THAT good, but I'm not sorry I didn't trade him to you in Fantasy Baseball that one year...I didn't have a better option for catcher at the time.

In all seriousness, I feel like you have especially over-estimated (or maybe it's under estimated in this case..) me. I do not, have not, and will not allow pure emotions to dictate how I choose to moderate this site. I've never made it a secret I dislike blackhawks novellas of superfluous and hyperbolic information, but right before he was put into troll mode was when things began to get ridiculous. I got messages from users (mostly newer members) asking various questions and raising various complaints about blackhawks posts.

I made a note of this to the moderator team asking why he was originally banned (because I wasn't here at the time and wanted more information on the matter) and if there was any action we could take that would help with the complaints we were getting about him. I NEVER EVEN SUGGESTED TROLL MODE. But that's when Av made the call and the action and that was it.

As to the other point I really don't know why I Astro has taken such an intense dislike to Blackhawk. As far as I know the two of them have never even met. It does seem like she and a small handful of other mods have taken over defacto day-to-day leadership of this site and as such are enforcing a personality litmus test on who they wish to be members.

You and RM (and likely a few others) seem to think I'm a really heavy handed moderator. Truth be told...I'm not at all.

Not to say I don't do anything but I haven't made a moderator move/decision more than deleting a duplicate post or approving/denying FM applications in a fairly long time. I live and work a very busy life and although I read the forums and keep generally up to date, but I'm not often actively "moderating", as it were.

Don't forget, as mods, we're a team...we discuss most things before making a big move, regardless of what it might be. We have no problem calling each other out on shit and being honest about our own biases. So, please stop assuming that we're all a bunch of autocrats.

1. I don't know who "the man" is in this context, I assume blackhawk. Conspiracies take time. Mine's valuable to me. Don't flatter yourself too hard.

Long story short, I never mentioned or hinted at the idea that blackhawk be put in troll mode. Granted, I put up no objection to that action, either. If it makes you feel better to blame me, then by all means continue doing so, but before you continue accusing me of things I haven't done, maybe consider that I'm not the rage-driven, emotional, vindictive cunt you seem to think I am.

I believe i can say with absolute confidence that had blackhawk, at any time during the life of this thread, wanted to post something that he could have and the first mod to see it would have made it publically visible.

I haven't seen this thread until today because I haven't been on the board in about a week and a half and I don't look at threads for this region, but I'm going to weigh in.

I've been on UER for nearly as long as Blackhawk. I think that he's often over the top and agree with the assessment that he might be inspiring some people to either not contribute as much or not at all due to his acerbic attitude. That said, I've seen worse users, but they're usually subject to an outright ban, not moderation mode.

Regarding the subject of complaints about moderators, I've seen racist and otherwise bigoted comments given a pass by mods. That's 100% unacceptable.

I'm not having a go at you, but you do bring up a point. I have no idea if he is inspiring (he PMs me & has never even hinted at me posting less), however the secretive censorship has definitely put some people off of posting.

I get it 2X. My suggestion to reinstate certainly wasn't a real suggestion. My thoughts of reinstatement were purely for entertainment value and is indeed selfish. The incredible blindfolded downward spiral had me watching in shear amazement and awe that this person actually breathes my air, and somehow manages to survive each day.

I guess I also didn't quite make the connection between him and Blackhawk, but I do now.

I also 100% agree that he may already be back. I would almost bet on it. Almost for now, and would definitely bet on soon. He will eventually find the spotlight again, as he clearly is not smart enough to fly under the radar.

I'm not clear about that. There was at one time a daily limit imposed on blackie's account. I'll get back to ya if and when Av clarifies that.
