Last February ("Spring Festival" in China), a friend and I explored the forsaken coastline of SANYA -- the "Hawaii of China".
While there, we found an abandoned resort. Abandoned buildings and "ghost cities" are common throughout China, as developers plan for economic growth (especially factories or refineries) that just doesn't come. The buildings, and sometimes full suburbs, are left empty, howling rib-cages in the winds of neglect...
This resort was used, once, though. It looks like it was mostly used for destination weddings, but maybe it just wasn't "enough" for the nouveau-riche of China's generation of extravagance.

So that's where all the Chinese tourists are going now that the government is embargoing Korea. THAAD might not protect us from North Korea whatsoever and will greatly aggravate larger regional rivals, but it will save Jeju Island from the Chinese!

I like 2 also with the small pano and larger shot through the colorful vines/ brush. The view through the multiple broken windows and decorative iron gate toward the water and mts. is gorgeous. Looks like a very cool place to wander around and enjoy the breeze

I agree. That one picture with the piano, the broken wall and the sea on the distance is quite nice. The place is remarkably clean too. Guess urbex isn't much of a thing in china.
