The axe house June 2017 Warrington uk
< on 6/7/2017 9:02 AM >

Visited with @dangle_angle one morning before work. We had a heads up on this one so not being to far away we thought a little look was in order for the day. There isn't any history on the house because it's just a house well not any that I could find. And it doesn't have a name so I'll just call it the axe house has there was a few around the place. A nice big place with a grand entrance hallway. And lots of wood. Ok so here's a few photos I took ...

That's some very... offputting interior decorating.

I enjoyed seeing these shots of this old manor. There HAS got to be a grander story here. Interesting place. Someone loved birds. Cool lighting fixtures. Creepy old doll in the window with dark eyes. 0_0

Yes it would have been a grand house in its day I think a wealthy family would have lived there. Just makes you wonder why people just desert these beautiful house and be left to just rot away..

My work servers often block pics that are externally hosted, i.e. Instagram, Flickr, so it could be that. Or, the OP was almost 2yrs ago - the pics linked may no longer exist.

I know this was 2017, but... all (or both, I suppose) these years and nobody said "oh hey, you found a former darkroom"? I've never worked with film but I can't see any other reason to keep spectroscopy chemicals around the house. Cool! Creepy doll, btw. I like it.

Good catch. As someone who develops in house, it doesn't take much to have your own darkroom. I live in a dorm on a college campus. I bought some blackout curtains and unplug everything in my room before going in a closet and lining the bottom with a blanket to eliminate any possible light. I even started out developing with coffee grounds and baking soda, but fixer is always something I've had to purchase.
