She was an attendee of the very first VCXPEX. Her and I bonded over the years and explored many times together. She didn't post much on UER, but was active in chat for a while & many of us from the first VCX all kept in touch with her over the years.
I'm really saddened and don't know what else to say except we're really going to miss you.

I had lost touch with her over the years but you know in FB land you still see what goes on in peoples lives. This is how I found out she passed.
I of course met her here in chat. Sheesh..I think she was only 18 at the time. Youngin. She was still in college and we had made plans to meet up so we could all head out to the first VCXPEX together. After driving all night I got to her dorm and crashed for a bit. We then headed west to Ohio to meet up with everyone else. We had a blast at the meet up. I formed special bonds with just about everyone there. We drove home together. We talked about the crazy weekend, roller derby, cameras, draining, school..you name it. I dropped he back off at school and that is the last time I saw her in person. I'll post some fun pictures when I can get to my hard drive.
She was sweet and way to young to be taken. RIP Spark

While we are all shocked at her death, I just want to remind people to be respectful about speculating how she died. We do not yet know the cause of death, and naturally with her being young many will jump to conclusions.
Labeling someone who can't defend themselves is awful shit, especially a really good-natured person like Nicole.
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of this. I met her at VCX and explored with her several times after when visiting Cinci on my own. Also hung out with her at several northeast meetups. She will be missed.

Mirroring everyone else's comments, I was really sad to hear of Spark's passing yesterday. I'm not very active in the community anymore, but I do stay in touch with a lot of the friends I've made here on UER.
Spark and I never met in real life but we chatted a lot about life, love, and relationships over the years through Facebook. She was always entertaining and funny, and no one could deny that she had a big heart. It's unfortunate we never got to meet in person. It's a tragedy to leave this world at such a young age, when there was so much more for her to do/see/experience.
My sincerest condolences to everyone close to her. I enjoyed being her "internet friend" and am very grateful for every conversation we had, which always brightened my day. She was a truly wonderful and kind hearted person to her core and the world is definitely a little darker without her in it.
