Posted by Dee Ashley I recently ran into one of these. Terrifying looking thing. Stood nine feet tall and hummed. I snapped a photo of the thing and immediately reversed course with a bad feeling. Sure enough, I pick-up rolled up as I was leaving (lots of real estate to cover on this one so it was taking a while to cover ground). I walked toward the guy in the truck trying to look as approachable as possible. He threw me off with his first question, "What kind of camera is that?" Turns out he was a photographer as well, mostly for hobby. I apologized and told him (most of) the truth: The property looked interesting from the street and from that far away, looked more like ruins than a site that was watched or used. He said his main concern was my safety if I tried to cross over the fence. I told him he had nothing to worry about. Moral of the story: If it says it's an electric fence and they're not bluffing, there's a damn good chance your on CCTV too. If someone cares enough about it to electrify the perimeter, than they probably have other safeguards in place too! |

Posted by SouthPaw Tried it once. It was rather underwhelming. Not that the assumed results sound any better. |
