Would love some advice on these photos and lens opinions

Looking for some advice on these photos. I think a lot of them turned out alright, love to hear things I could do better or even different artistic opinions. These were taken with a nikon d3300, with 18-55mm lens and 35mm prime lens. Would like to hear some opinions on some wide angle lenses or fish eye lenses preferably below 300. Thanks for the help!

7 and the other 7 are the best. One pic (I think it's 6) is a broken link. The close ups are okay, but I would have used a different angle while stepping back a few more feet.

Yeah, I love the story that the ones with you wearing a jersey tell! 1 is pretty nice, though I would reposition it so that the left end of the piano isn't right next to the lens like that. Things out of focus in the foreground usually look bad. The ones with the seats are decent shots, especially the closeup ones, though I don't particularly care for that look. 3 is pretty boring- the house is not especially interesting, and it seems to have strangely low contrast. 5 is a decent shot; though I've seen better graffiti, this stuff is definitely better than most. 7,8, and 11 are great, as I said earlier. 9 is pretty cool; I love the contrast between the colorlessness of the gym and the color of the graffiti. It's really cool to see the full extent of the destruction in 12 and 13. 14 is also a great shot, though seeing gutted churches like that makes me sad.

I like the images.
Hard to go wrong with fast primes; I'm a Cannon shooter so I'm not much help with Nikon.
However this site can help a lot. Lense reviews with interactive blur charts:

Just watch the foreground blur; it can look nice but go ape shit with. Stopping down to the len's sweet stop and sometimes a little more to get DOF, and focusing on the first object in the foreground works well in many composures... but not all.
Plus individual artist preferences come into play.

yeah I definitely see what you mean by making the foreground blurry. I've definitely gotten similar responses about number 3, i guess it is one of those shots that noone likes, but i love it haha. I may go back and rework it a little. Gutted places like that definitely give an interesting feel, I was glad that most of the glass windows was still in tact. I appreciate the feedback a lot.

Thank you so much, that site really helped clear things up for me. Definitely gave me a lot of insight on things I hadn't thought of with lenses.

That's a great site to learn how to get the most out of your glass. Really takes a lot of the guess work out of it.
It has excellent reviews too.

What you have now for gear is fine. I'd recommend maybe.... Using that zoom lens all the wide only, for wide shots. and your 35mm for everything else. That's how I shoot, just those two focal lengths. Works great. Get good at what you have, then look for something else.

I really liked the composition, processing, and really just everything about number 13. That's a seriously great shot.

#7(2) also stands out. Nice use of symmetry.

I personally would have focused a little closer to the broken piano key in #1, or used a more narrow aperture to include it in focus. All of the hard lines in the image kinda lead to it, but the sharpest focus is about 8 keys in front of it.

The window frame borders in #4 are fine. It works well with the tree in framing the house.

12 has a crooked horizon

Otherwise, all pretty solid stuff. As far as lenses go, I swear by the Sigma 10-20mm F3.5. It's very often the only lens I use. It's really sharp, and brings out awesome color. It's also seriously tough. Mine was run over by a very large ATV and snapped off the body, but it still works and it's never let me down since.

I also recommend old manual focus lenses as a way to get high quality glass for cheap. There are a ton of old offbrand 135mm F2.8 primes, and some of them are of really high quality. I've owned both a Sears and a JC Penney branded one that were great lenses, neither of them cost more than $40. Just make sure you get one new enough to have an AI mount so your camera's meter will work.

I just bought the Tokina 11-20 pro (auto focus). It is very wide and very sharp. I shoot with the Nikon D5500. Its also fast at f2.8. I'm happy with it so far.
