Atlanta Urbex Photoshoot
< on 11/28/2016 7:20 PM >

Hey everyone! I'm really new to this forum but I've been into urbex for a while. Here are a few photos from my last photoshoot in Atlanta and I'd love to hear thoughts and criticism so I can improve. I shoot with a Nikon d750 although I also usually shoot in film with a Minolta SRT-102. I edit all my photos using Adobe Lightroom CC.

I'm not a huge fan of the Instagram-y shots like 1, 2, 3, 9, 11, and 13. They just seem kind of cliche, cheap, and manufactured, especially the shoe ones. 4's pretty good, though the exposure is definitely too low. You could definitely frame the bridge in a more interesting light, especially if you highlighted the plants, and I think the view is much better from the other direction with the skyline in the background instead of that ugly white building. 5 isn't really urbex, but it's a nice shot of Atlanta. (I can probably see my place from there.) The blurry wall is super distracting though. 6 is pretty good, though you don't really have the good part of the skyline in the shot. 7 and 8 I'm not a fan of, mainly because I don't really like graffiti as the subject of a shot unless it's unusually good. 10 is pretty cool, though you could've probably picked a more interesting vantage point, the angle of the shot really bothers me, and once again there's blurry ugly concrete in the foreground. 12 I feel the same way about as 7 and 8. 14 is a decent picture, though I'm not a huge fan of the aesthetic of the area.
