Very useful video, especially because this can be done with anything blunt laying around like a rock, so you don't have to risk carrying " tools " and you don't actually break the lock

I suppose you can open any lock with a hammer if you're persistent enough
I'll usually resort to shimming over this attack - much less noisy, and does not run the risk of breaking the lock. Additionally, all master locks and many, many other brands are susceptible to shimming - this works only on some models and only if hit with the right amount of force in the right direction.

Shimming is definitely better, you might as well be hitting a window with a hammer to gain access... Probably have better results if you're planning on bringing a hammer. Lol
Either way there's tons of DEFCON talks on Youtube about exploiting locks and such, lots of good info out there though.
