Well, it’s time to close on that year!

Not being able to go out of Canada made this year quite challenging so i did not explore as much as i wanted.
Hope 2021 is better but for now we are in full lockdown with curfew at 20h so…

No.226 - 9 Octobre 2020 - St-Talbot Asylum (Abandoned since the 90’s)

No.227 - 10 Octobre 2020 - Graves Asylum for the Insane (Abandoned since the 60’s)

No.228 - 11 Octobre 2020 - Edward Bay Jail (Abandoned since the 2010’s)

No.229 - 11 Octobre 2020 - Inco SuperStack (Decommissioned in 2019 - Will be demolished)

No.230 - 12 Octobre 2020 - Motel Vilem (Abandoned since the 90’s)

No.231 - 7 Novembre 2020 - Lepul Steam Plant (Closed in the 2010’s)

No.232 - 21 Novembre 2020 - Steam River Generating Station (Closed)

No.233 - 21 Novembre 2020 - Alton Roman Generating Station (Abandoned since the 80's)

No.234 - 21 Novembre 2020 - Ash Dome Observatory (Closed - will be demolished)

Thanks! It was on my bucket list for a looong time.

Being that it is on top of the largest active nickel smelting operation in the world was quite the challenge.

Some info:
The Inco Superstack. with a height of 381 metres (1,250 ft), is the tallest chimney in Canada and the Western hemisphere, and the second tallest freestanding chimney in the world after the GRES-2 Power Station in Kazakhstan. It's base, at 115ft wide, is large enough to fit a small apartment building.

Climbing a 380 meter ladder is a killer lol, but worth the view at the top for sure!

This year has been very challenging exploration-wise, especially because of the land border closed to Canadians.
This, added to the ton of work that is to organize the annual event in Montreal, i have not explored as much as id love.
