After two years, I finally said goodbye to the 18-55 kit lens and tested out a Sigma 17-50.

Abandoned craphole diner in the UK, used to be a very popular stop-off for truckers.

Only went in to have a piss but took a couple of photos as well so I could say I'd been here finally.

Imagine my surprise when I went to scout a location and found them building a rocket on the property
(back to the drawing board though on accessing the abandoned section...)!

You won't be disappointed! Dumping my kit lens for my Tamron 16-300 was the best thing I ever did with my Canon t4i!

Was this for watching theatrical performances? It seems like a fairly unique space, but maybe that's just because I'm in Texas and everything has to be spread out around here.

It was the central part of a historic high school modeled on progressive education principals. There were a lot of performances here for the community.

This place was kind of a disappointment. The exterior looks awesome, and it's been sealed up tight for the entire 3 years I've been aware of it. There's not much vandalism, but nothing to really see either.

I'd never normally show a place like this but we stopped off here on my recent weekender trip to Wales. I knew the former hospital was in a bad way but I never thought it could be this bad.

It's very rare I find a location that has zero redeeming features but this managed to slip below even that low standard. It's the most comprehensively trashed and tagged set of buildings I have ever set foot in, so much so I find myself wishing I hadn't wasted the energy of getting out the car! Everything that could be broken has been broken and then broken some more, the roof is all but gone and almost every surface has been badly tagged either by idiots who can't tag to save their life or by idiots trying too hard to be 'deep' or 'philosophical'. After fifteen minutes we'd had enough of the dump and left to better places.

Ugh....
