The Best In The Midwest
< on 7/14/2014 7:55 PM >

This treasure trove is hidden in plain sight. Entering and exiting is super sketch but well worth the rewards. There really is something for everyone here. we spent a better part of a day checking out every nook and cranny.
These photos were taken by a friend.

Damn, that's beautiful. All of it. You're right, it's a treasure.

And that erupted brick floor is wild—I've never seen anything like that.

It's actually wooden blocks.

The old post office, it's been closed a long time and as you can see; reused by another occupant. Didn't know there was a good POE these days.

Damn! That was the most varied content site I've seen here I think. Purposed for some time as a storehouse for the collected artifacts of a person or persons who no longer live or control their affairs I suppose. Like so much cool shit I see on this site I am sad that it no longer exists in this state, but at least I got to see these pix. And I know that there are things unknown as of yet, and things that are yet to be. Ah, the fun of Space-Time....

Still, I wish I coulda packed a patch kit, mini air pump and tube of grease to tour that bike around the place a little.
