Posted by billgeorge The rest of the story is anticlimax. I found the brick-floor pipe, and shuffle-trudged along it for awhile, happy to be able to stand upright, but aware that each step forward was another I'd have to take back. |
Posted by Rhino604 FYI there's a safe manhole to exit in a patch of grass in front of somebody's house. It's 85 meters up from where the pipe reduces from 1650mm to 1200mm. The catch is the property owner was right there when 5 of us climbed out of there a few years back, so he has since attempted to cover it with soil/grass. Next time I'm in Vancouver and do that drain I'll uncover the manhole cover if someone else hasn't already done it by then. The pipe goes into burnaby, but to get there you'll have to crawl in pipes as tight at 1050mm. |
