| This is a portable alarm and GPS tracking device made DeWALT. The battery is good for 30 days between charges so it can be used without electricity on. There is a provision to make a door switch using an external magnet. The reed switch is internal to the unit. It can detect tampering, vibration and temperature changes. The GPS can locate it anywhere and sends the GPS data over the Sprint Wireless network. The GPS can also be used to create a "virtual fence" where if the device is moved outside a predetermined area, it sets off the alarm. When the alarm is set off, it sends a text message to several recipients. The device itself, is about an inch thick and has a footprint that is a little smaller than a CD jewel case.  The device can be mounted with screws or with the built-in magnets. Note the tamper switch on the upper right:  |
