Not enough snow to ski

New to the UER community. Figured Id put up a little teaser. I dont think Ive been anywhere new or fresh but you never know. I will post up other photo sets whenever I get time. However, dont expect anything spectacular because they are mostly iPhone pictures.

Here's one pic for now. Ill throw the rest up from this abandoned ski resort later tonight.

I don't think there are any lifts still standing at NebraSKI. My guess would be Devil's Nest.

What an interesting spot! Thanks for the post, I can't imagine people skiing in that area, it almost looks like a ride for, um, kids that don't get to ski I guess? Anyway, thanks for sharing! +10 for your username.

Some back history: This was part of a One Hundred Million Dollar project in 1975 money. It was going to be an all inclusive ski community complete with equestrian center and Yacht club located on the banks of a large lake. Well they paved the roads for the community and built the ski resort but it never really took off. Soon after investors dropped out and the property was left as a reminder of things that never were

I see some big houses and stuff but did they ever complete a marina and yacht club? Looks like it sold in 2008 unless it fell through.

I was manager at NebraSKI the last season there was skiing there. I did a google earth search of the spot and it appears that all is gone now except for the maintenance building. It was a fun place back in the day.
