Posted by oldNdustT Hey guys, Ive actually been a member for a couple years but after a little coaxing from some other members that I frequently go on adventures with Ive decided to become more active here and hope to soon be recognized as an established explorer. So a little bit about me..Ive been doing this for several years but had no idea it was a "thing" and that so many others were into as well. Im a mature responsible adult and I have respect for each and every location I tread upon. Vandalism infuriates me although I do enjoy GOOD graffiti as long as it is in a fitting place. I am a bit older than most of you and not in as good of shape as I used to be so you wont catch me climbing 10 foot walls or hanging off the sides of buildings but I still keep up fairly well. I live in Ft Worth Texas where we have or have had some pretty decent abandonments. I still visit some of the same spots over and over when I feel the need for a quick fix but I also have been branching out across the state and into Oklahoma every chance I get. I recently went to my first group meeting at which there several newer people. We all enjoyed meeting and chatting before moving on to a couple local locations. I hope you meet more of you in the future.

Hi all, not sure if anyone reads this but if you're interested, I'm Dan and I live in San Mateo County in the Bay Area. I've been trying to find the best spots to explore in my area and have found a few tunnels and abandoned sites that were fun to look around (nike missile sites, bayshore roundhouse, etc). I know there's tons out here in the bay and if anyone has any suggestions of places to go or if you're in my area, pm me! I'm running out of new places to explore...

Hi there. I registered here years ago but never posted until now, as the itch has come back and I want to share the few places I've seen. I'm from Chicago and would love to talk to other explorers from the area!

Hello, I'm Mickey. I registered a while back, but have only recently decided I'd like to begin contributing to the community. I have only taken a serious interest in urbex over the past six months. While I mainly enjoy abandoned places, I also dabble in rooftops when the opportunity arises. The desire to explore is what initially got me into this hobby, but my interest in photography and film have since become a driving force. Hope to see you around.

Aye. There is HELLA stuff around our area, even if it doesn't seem like anything. I even found a few places in Millbrae as well. Try the Belmont Drain, it is in the UER database. I attempted to go, but I wasn't wearing the proper shoes. There is some light flowing water. Around Hillsdale/CSM, if you look at google maps you can track down some creeks, which leads into some tunnels. There isn't much or anything, but it's close to home, and doesn't take much time. Plus it fun just trying to venture and explore. If you go on Skyline, and go towards Pacifica, you eventually go through this long ass tunnel, and on the other side has a bunker that you can't really miss. It really public, but people just walk around the bunker taking pictures, looking at the ocean and shit. I haven't seen anyone really attempt to go in, they all just kind of pussyfoot around it. It's really easy to get in and fun to check out if you have the time. Good Luck, Have Fun.

I'm Robert in Springfield, Mo, US. I recently got back into urban exploration because I'm developing a VR game set in a ghost town, and needed plenty of texture/reference photos of run down and abandoned places. I've been exploring abandoned places since I was a kid, mostly because they are all over where I'm from. I've been to 3 locations in the past 2 weeks, and it seems like a hobby I could settle into even after my project is complete. A link to a few of my recent shots if you're interested (https://www.flickr...hotos/trinalphoto/) The abandoned school(in link) was the most unsettling, it was my first location, and I didn't take any precautions. My GF and I found a large homeless camp, many clothes hanging, tents setup, all in a ghetto of downtown St. Louis. We got lucky, and never ran into anyone. Later on I did research on the building and found there have been about 20 homicides in the building in the past 20 years. Since then I've done plenty more research, and read though most of the lessons and useful info on the site. Glad to have found this community. Happy exploring!

What's going on people? I'm 5 foot whatever and enjoy long walks on the beach....haha just kidding. I'm a dude in his mid to late twenties from Maryland and/or the borderline of DC. The internet never stops to amaze me. I consider myself old school or even zzzz'n under a rock when it comes to technology and social media, but I'm glad I found this community! My best friend; since we were snotty noses and I enjoy exploring different storm drains in our community. We rarely, but also include Virginia and DC in our journeys, so pretty much the DMV area. We also explore the neighboring and everlasting woods of the Anacostia River; well at least the areas near my location. I know this is an introduce myself, but including my best bud has a lot to do with my adventures! Friends since '92! Through our adventures we've both developed an interest of unearthing local relics. My bud collects vintage cans and I collect vintage bottles. Now, what's important to note is that we don't just collect these items in general; but collect only collect ones from our county and city! Now, I don't know if what I say matters as far as what the site represents, but just getting to know me; I'm very involved with researching the underground history of my community, I find tree carvings fascinating, I write true event (mostly horror) stories and have them read on youtube and just enjoy anything new!
I hope to meet people who understand where I'm coming from when it comes to my interests. A lot of people in my life don't understand or care, so it would be great for anyone to join in an adventure! My buddy and I run a blog about our adventures. We haven’t updated in a long time but it represents the type of explorer I am. Message me if you want that blogspot spot! Blips and Chitz!!!! Mud

I'm new here (obviously). My name is Alex. I live in Dayton, Ohio. I am mostly a portrait photographer, but have always had an interest in the decay and dilapidation. I've been exploring downtown as much as I can, but would love to meet up and explore with some more experienced members. Here are some I took from the grain silos this past week. (I know similar images of the site exist, but I'm proud of them.)

I'm a couple hours from there, but find myself in that area semi-often. Maybe our paths will meet in the near future... welcome to UER!

Hi there! My name is Ari and I live in Lakeland, Florida and I am 17 years old. I've been interested in the hobby for quite a few years and only recently became serious about it. I've only been on one mild exploration, but I hope to meet people and make friends to go exploring with here, because it's always good to go with a group instead of going by yourself. I'm trying to get some of my existing friends into the hobby myself.
There's a concrete jungle calling my name out there. | |

Hello I'm brandon and I've been exploring with my partner for about a month now. We live in the Northeast area of Ohio and I'm excited to talk to everyone here on UER. I prefer exploring abandoned buildings that do not include climbing fences to get into. If I were to meet up with anyone I would like to meet before hand and get to know you. Any advice for the future would be great. Thank You.
