Howdy, I'm Kek and I'm in the Central Texas area. I always explore with the same group of friends, and we usually have multiple cameras accompanying us on our adventures so hopefully I'll get some great shots for this website! I have found several places of exploration thanks to UER, and I hope to one day get full membership so I can disclose some interesting locations I have found as well. I'm excited to be on a website that has a group of people who share the same interests as me, and I hope to learn a lot. ~Cheers, Kek

Hi All, my name is Frank and I'm from Norristown, Pa. I've been exploring for many years and it is something that I do every weekend. I actually just started a website called urbanexplorationusa.com that shows pics of where we went and a brief history of the place explored. I'm looking forward to all that this site has to offer and to meeting a lot of new people here from this forum

Hey everyone! I'm a newbie Explorer in Michigan. I just finished my first major exploration trip and thought I would finally setup an account. I'm hoping to connect some fellow michiganders and continue to discover unique and interesting locations to explore. If anyone has any tips for me, I'd be glad to hear them.

Hey guys, I'm just getting back into urban exploration after an extended break. I started exploring when I was around 18/19 when I finally had a reliable car, a nice dslr and a few friends to go with. Unfortunately both time and my camera were taken from me and now I'm trying to get a fresh start. I am from central Massachusetts but have spent some time in Western MA as well as New York and Rhode Island. Can't wait to start again.

Hey everyone, my name is Akira or Aki for short. I've always been into urban exploration for a very long time but all i've really experienced so far is some draining and a few buildings. Once it warms up a little though, me and a friend are going to try a bunch of abandoned houses and a retirement home in the area though! I'm also underage so I can't go exploring with adults (I don't want you guys getting in trouble with the law because of the underage delinquence stuff haha) so for now i'll just going to be sticking with some friends my age, but I hope to participate a lot on UER, so nice to meet ya guys!(I would like to add that I'm in Dallas area!)

Hi! I'm Sophie from Vancouver, BC. Started taking a real appreciation for photography and exploring when I saw on instagram some inspiring views that I've never seen of my city from local photographers. I wanted to do the same; so I've been trying to get out, do research and shoot. Hoping to meet some wicked people from here!

Welcome new peoples. Sounds like y'all have some good plans. Post 'em when you snap 'em.

Hi, everyone. I'm AJ and like all of the people on here I love exploring. I've been doing it sporadically for years, but now after finding this site I want to do it more frequently.

Hello everyone, I'm Len from Port Credit (just outside Toronto). I got into exploring mainly for the photography, as I thought that rust, decay, mould, graffiti, etc, are very beautiful to photograph. A few years ago I was in a Meetup group and had a few excursions. But that group broke up and I've been out in the cold ever since. Now, I'd like to do a little more this year, and thought I'd try this club. I know there's a forthcoming event here in TO, but (damn) I can't make it - too late notice. But I hope to make some friends here and learn of some places to explore. I'm adding 1 image, which is a self portrait taken at an old scrapyard out in the country, north-west of Toronto.

Welcome to the club Len. I like your self portrait looks like that fire light affect thing. Yeah rust decay mold and graffiti are great models. If you ever come by the Pacific North West keenly Portland hit me up!

Hey everyone, I'm from Mount Juliet, TN, right near Nashville. Got into urban exploration stuff when I decided to go check out a location in my area and I've been looking for more to go look around in since then. I've never been huge on the photography aspect of it but I figure I could definitely get into it since I've always been into that sorta artsy aesthetic type of thing, and I know how to use photoshop lol. Glad I found this and I hope to post some halfway decent pics of the places I find on here.

Hi!! My name is Saturn. I live in beautiful British Columbia. Never really in one place. I've moved between Terrace, Prince George, Nelson and various places in the lower mainland. Pretty much my whole life I have loved the outdoors. I grew up camping, canoeing, tree fort building etc. and as I got older I started to become more interested in Urban Exploration. I love photography, travelling and history and I could not think of a more perfect way to make use of all three than adventure and exploring. While doing some research on the first abandoned building I ever took interest into (a local abandoned prison in my area) I stumbled into this website and took interest immediately. I am serious about becoming a full member for sure and can't wait to post about my adventure, look at other people with the same interests points of view and meet new people! Happy Exploring everybody!!

Hi, Name is Thingamabob. From Central/North-East Florida. In the daytime, I'm a automotive tech and sometimes on weekends I do grunt work for a local drywall company. (If active residential construction and 'not' trespassing is your thing, I'm your gal!) Have little to no field experience in the ways of -this- kind of exploration, but not uncommon for me to just hop in the car and go, somewhere, anywhere, nowhere on a whim, (Assuming time and finances are in my favor) and for what I lack, I make up for in preparedness. In fact I feel I have been doing things a bit bss aackwords in compared to most everyone else; been building a bug out bag of sorts, but more of an "Oh Shiny" Bag, which is allowing me more practice time with my new camera and getting familiar with it.
And now we get to the awkward part where I don't know what else to say and I feel like I have been rambling, so, yea...
But if you are going artsy, then you're going all the way. Someone's cutting off an ear! | |
Greetings, I stumbled upon these forums a few years ago while looking for some locations nearby while on vacation. I never thought about actually joining until about a week ago. I'm from the Edmonton area (Alberta), and I'm really into photography as well as filmography. I'm more of an old tunnels and trestles type explorer, but I'll rarely turn down an adventuring opportunity. I hope to do some more exploring this new year as well as share my experiences with others. ~Cat

Hello, I'm Steve from South Eastern NC - I have been exploring for quite some time, never thought of it as anything more than an odd hobby. A few years ago a friend gave me a book on this culture, and now here I am posting for the fist time.

Hello all! I'm a lifelong explorer from New Hampshire, although I've only learned about UE proper in the past few months. I enjoy adventure of any sort, with a particular fondness for active infiltrations, as well as a newfound interest in rooftopping and drains. Looking forward to swapping stories and photos, as well as possibly interesting spots if I can connect with any local folks. Look forward to seeing you all around! -SCW
