Hi everyone! Not super new to using this site but definitely interested in becoming a more serious member. I've been into urbex photography for 5 or so years now. I fell in love while in school for photography, looking for a new project. Since then I created my project, "Mental," which involves abandoned places with a history; like asylums, hospitals, schools etc... I started urbexing in the Northeast, where they were plentiful it seemed. I recently moved to Denver, CO, which doesn't have the rich history of a failed medical system. Now I'm having issues with a lack of contact, and knowledge. Looking for new friends and new spots!

What’s up! Joe from Colorado - new to the forum. I have always loved exploring spots/structures. I grew up in Colorado/Nevada/California so I dig mining structures and old mining areas. It blows me away how they got that shit up there and back down. So I respect the history of the spots I visit, to preserve for others to see. I am interested in suggestions on spots to explore. I live in the Denver area but like to travel. Thanks!

Hi! My name is Kendall and I am from Pittsburgh, PA. I have always had a love for photography, hiking, and adventuring. I know a few spots in Pittsburgh, yet I haven’t been to any of them (I can’t drive lol.) However, I will be attending college about a half hour away from Erie, PA, so if anyone in the Erie area would like to meet up, please let me know!

I’m a 14 year old from the Bay Area who has been into urban exploration for about a year and a half. Unfortunately, some of the pictures I’ve taken can’t be uploaded here. I look forward to talking to some of you soon!

Welcome to UER You can upload almost any image by either downsizing it to >100kb or linking it from a 3rd party pic hosting site.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

Hello! My name is Brandon and I'm adventurous at heart. I live 30 miles east of Dallas Texas and I am eager to be a part of the community! I have two locations that I don't believe to be added, although, I am a new member and I know I can't see some of the places premium members can see.

Hey Explorers! I'm new to the forums. My favorite places are the old, lost, and forgotten. My camera is like my dear friend, so trusty and well-loved. I'm going places literally. Right now I'm in Northern Illinois, near Wisconsin. A friend is a horror buff so we frequented Bachelor's Grove a few days ago. That was nice but I only found the foundation to one building. It's public property so I'm assuming it's okay to share where I went. I have a list of places to visit but it's woefully incomplete. Oh, how I wish I could ask where to go but I will settle for sharing some of my work as I do it.

Hi, my name is Keith! I have been urban exploring quite frequently around Sydney for the past year or so, and have always wanted to be an active member of a forum such as this. I look foward to chatting with many of you about your experiences and hope to make many more!
Redskins are a red, raspberry-flavoured chewy confectionery manufactured in New Zealand by Nestlé under their Allen's brand. The confectionery is sold as elongated bars which are individually twist-wrapped in paper, weighing approximately 10 grams each. Multi-packs and Redskin lollipops are also available. |

I created this account about year ago, but Haven't motivated myself to go out and explore places until this summer. I'm going to try and be an active member, and hopefully make some friends in the process I won't say my name, but I'm a current student at RIT in Rochester, NY, and I grew up in central NH. I'm hoping to hit up a lot of the abandoned places around Rochester (Including the legendary subway system!), and hopefully convince some of my friends to tag along. If you're in the area, send me a PM! God, I wish I had a car...

Hey there. My names Nate. I’ve had an interest in history ever since I was a little kid. My interest in abandoned buildings likely started when I found an old farmhouse across the field we live next to. The mystery of the building, the history, the smell of the old wood, was what cemented this hobby into my life. I only became aware of the Urbex community very recently. I currently live in Iowa, but I go to school in Florida. The buildings that really interest me are abandoned Soviet places. Life moves more slowly across the pond, so many of them have remained untouched since the USSR dissolved. But that dreams still a long ways off. I figured it’d be best to join the North American community first and figure out how this whole things works. I hope to become a part of this community.

Hey people, My name is Mangirdas and I live in Lithuania (one of the Baltic states). I'm quite new to urban exploration and especially to the internet community and after reading trough the forum I realized this one is mostly based in Northern America, so I was wondering whether there is something similar based in Europe? If not then I guess I'm staying here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Started exploring because of a lack of entertainment (where I live we dont have much going on, not even a lot of people in the countryside, while on the contrary there are quite a few abandoned buildings here) also to fight my fears. Anyways, I hope to see you all in the forums.

Sup y'all. I've had this account for a while but I figured I should finally try and be active on here & contribute. I am a student in Las Vegas currently working towards a BFA with a concentration in photography. I'd like to think of myself as an outdoorsman & explorer and I have personally logged over 150+ trails within the last few years here in Nevada. I enjoy skateboarding and searching for spots with friends (ditches, drains, and pools especially) which creates a nice intersection for skating, exploration m& photography. This forum has an awesome photo section so I'm looking forward to sharing more photos and learning a bit from you guys as well.

Hello, everybody! I'm new to UER.ca. So glad to find a community for this! I've always been a fan of urbex, but have done very little of it myself. I am definitely interested in learning more and doing some exploring though! My first urbex place is a location in Leesburg, Virginia. I wish to get some photos of it soon so I can upload it, as I do not see it currently in the database.
