Hi all! I just made this account because I'm interested in getting a little more serious with Urban Exploring. I'm based in New York, and I've done a good bit of exploring around here, but nothing too complex. I'm planning a trip [somewhere] for UE pretty soon!

Good to meet you all!

Hello! my name's Bird, 20, I hang out in georgia USA mostly. I'm a photographer, and long time urbexer. Looking for friends in and around georgia that would like to form a group. I've never been to huge urbex spots, mostly smaller areas like warehouses and offices and stuff, but I'm looking for more. A lot of the places I used to haunt have been torn down or snitch rigged so any help finding new places would be awesome.

Hey all, I'm Steve. Already introduced myself in my region, but figured I'd post here too. This site came recommended from a buddy in Cali who is a veteran Urbexer. I'm somewhat new, been doing it on and off a couple years, but recently got more into it. I'm based in Wisconsin. Sadly I don't get out as much as I want (it's hard with two kids), but hoping that'll change soon. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
If you'd like to check out my work my photography page on Facebook is https://www.facebo...girardphotography/ and I'm on Instagram @girardphotography1

I do more than strictly Urbex photography. I also enjoy shooting historical sites, old bridges, landscapes, nature, and architecture.

So I have been a member for quite some time and I just realized that I haven't properly introduced myself yet.

I discovered this site back in 2014 and had another account but I forgot the password/username.

Anyway, I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I am actually going to be moving out in a few days to start the next chapter of my life so I will be travelling around a lot. I am pursuing entrepreneurship and as far as interests go, I enjoy video games, reading, working out, and exploring new places. (which I am sure, if you are on here, you do as well.) As for music, I can listen to just about anything but my favourite genres are death metal and rap.

I explored a few locations here and there but I am just getting back into the hobby and still consider myself very new to it. I used to get really bad anxiety and I get paranoid very easily. If anyone has any tips on how to control/conquer your fear of exploring, feel free to PM me.

I'm looking foreward to being here and connecting with you all!

Hi, I'm new here. I'm more a photograph than an explorer, but I'm always interested in finding hidden spots.
I live in Montreal, and I'd be interested in starting exploring (and taking photos of course).
I find 2-3 spots that could be nice in Montreal, but I'm not sure how to access them. I'd be interested in meeting people to explore with them (to learn the spots, the access, and take photos).

Let me know if you're interested.

I also did some Parkour few years ago, and I'm gonna start rock climbing but I'm not very comfortable with heights yet.

Thanks

Heya how's it going everyone, most of my usernames are the same so I stuck with it but most of my friends call me Casper. I've always explored older buildings and enjoyed trying to finding the history behind them. Plus recently I got back into photography I've been taking pictures of the places I've been going in lately, probably gonna post some on here eventually to see how I can improve with em, but anyway nice to meet you guys!

I've been lurking for a few years, but finally decided to start being an active member. Why now? In this year, 2019? Mostly so I could find more places to explore, now that I have a friend to go with me, and now that I've kind of ran out of places I already knew from word of mouth, and my own discoveries. I'm based in the D.F.W. area, so I'll mostly be posting from that general area.

Besides Urbex, my hobbies include: cooking, fermenting things (Mostly mead, and rice wine), Pokémon GO, reading, watching anime, and geocaching, which I guess occasionally crossed over with Urbex. If anyone recognizes my username, I use the same one for almost everything.

Hi, just joined today after lurking for many years. I do most of my exploration on my mountain bike and the occasional hike.

I live in the San Jose area of Northern California, where there are a lot of hidden gems to find while out on my long rides.

I am ex-military (USMC), having spent my uniformed years working on HAWK missile systems. I say that because there are a lot of old military installations in the Bay Area that have quite interesting histories.

The closest one to me is one that has provided many years of mystery and intrigue: the old Almaden Air Force Station that used to sit atop Mount Umunhum in south San Jose, California. Many years ago we used to hike to this prominent landmark (where the Cube sits), evading the private security teams that roamed the area, the armed landowners firing off warning shots, or the rangers of Mid-Peninsula Open Space District.

Hope to see you soon spelunking in an old mine shaft or abandoned missile silo!

It's been a very long time since I've been on here, like since my late teens. I'd love to get back into it. I'm from the western Inland Empire area, but love L.A. and Orange County too. Please message me if you'd like to hang out with an old UE'r. Take care~

They call me Big Jim and I'm in the Pittsburgh-Metro area, I'm an aspiring photographer, I don't have a high-end camera atm, so I do my photographing with my phone. Been Urbexing a few years, but it's mostly been abandoned houses in my area, nothing real large, but I have went to a few and intend to find more.

Hello! I am a new member from NE Atlanta and I am definitely a beginner to urban exploring, however I would like to expand more of my knowledge, as I am very interested in urban photography and photography in general (@photobyagh on ig). I’m not sure how to intros usually go, but if anyone would like to give my some tips or pointers that’s always welcome on my book!

Hi y’all! New member from the Nashville area in TN. I’ve always been super interested in local history, old buildings, and abandoned places, and now finally have gotten out there and started exploring regularly! I’m a 3rd-year college student, pursuing a biology degree, and along with urbex, I love photography, antiques, and collecting.

Hoping to attend some local meet ups if there happen to be any near me! Would love to meet more explorers in the area.

Oh, I also have a Instagram where I post urbex (along with some other random photography). It’s the same as this, @exploremiddletn

Hello! I registered a few months ago but have been lurking, so I thought it would be time to introduce myself.

My name is Anjie, and I live in the Elyria area of Ohio. I'm currently 23 and pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. I've been interested in urban exploring for a while, but I haven't really gotten the chance to go out and explore myself. Hopefully this website will change that!

I'm hoping to meet some people in the areas near me!

What's up UE forum, I've been a member for awhile now and not sure why I didn't check out the forums earlier; I haven't touched this account for a few months. Living in the south-central MN area planning to make some posts about locations in southern MN and northern IA very soon now that weather is above freezing in the daytime. Lookin forward to making new friends and maybe finding some other members in my area!!!

I also forget to check the forums. i honestly forget t check this site often because im rarely on my computer. Im in Southern Minnesota as well. Unfortunately I dont have the most roadworthy transportation so i dont get out of town much. Really limits my exploring. But im glad to see another explorer from S. Mn, and not the cities. If you ever see this, feel free to shoot me a message and we can chat if youd like! That goes for all MN explorers that may be in my area! (:

Congrats on finally making an account! Be sure to read up on all the rules first. As a new member, you don't wanna go around giving out locations even if you didn't even realize you did. Other people can probably explain it better, so just look in the new member threads and read everything.
