Hi, I'm Kye. I live near the Sacramento region of California and I am fascinated with urban decay, as well as being in places you aren't supposed to be. I am also an avid musician and have written some of my favorite pieces in abandoned areas. I joined this forum a little while ago but I'd love to become involved with the UER community.
I'm just very lost. |

Hi All! I've been super into the idea of urban exploring for several years now but was deterred for a while after stepping on a nail... ouch! I am a freelance photographer out of MD and love the idea of documenting the unique places through my lens and hope to take more time over the next couple of years to explore the hidden wonders of the world. Cheers!

Hi everyone! My name is Oryx. I am from western New York. I have been urban exploring for many years, on and off. I have only recently started to take pictures of my explores. I don’t have a fancy camera, just my cell phone. But for me it’s not about the pictures, necessarily.. it’s about the excitement, the adrenaline, the thrill. The magical feeling of trespassing.. of finding places locked in time. The stories and the history of the building.

Hello, I have been trying to explore everything around me since I was a child. I work in IT and have been lucky enough to be able to explore many cool areas with electrical and mechanical things. Lately I have been exploring railroads and abandon buildings the coastal land bordering Tampa Bay, Florida in the cities of Palmetto, Gibsonton, Apollo Beach, South Tampa, the Palm River, and Oldsmar. I hope to meet some like minded explorers to go check stuff out with.

My name is Gabe. I'm 16 and live in the San Mateo area. My hobby is parkour and I love watching youtube videos especially youtubers like The Proper People, Shiey, and PROBZZ. I'm having a hard time finding locations where I live and I'm hoping that this forum could help me out. Feel free to PM me if you live in the San Mateo area too and want to chat!

Hi Everyone! I grew up in the SF Bay area, with tons of stuff to explore. We did all the stereotypical East Bay stuff. I moved down to the San Gabriel Vally about a year and a half ago and haven't done to much exploring since. I know there's a lot around, but I've been busy and also don't like going by myself. Lemme know if anyone is interested in exploring! Thanks everyone, I hope to become pretty involved provided school and work don't take up to much time

Hey guys! I'm a photographer located in Boulder, CO! I love finding new and exotic places to shoot that have an element of danger intertwined with them. I'd love to post my photos on here for critique, and share NUMBER of abandoned locations in Colorado that I've been exploring for years now. It's crazy to find a website like this. Super excited to get involved!

Hi all, I'm Carl, from the SF bay area. I'm more into "outdoor UrbEx" (is there such a term?) - as in bushwhacking to interesting features and places that aren't on most maps, are often far from trails, and are sometimes closed off. For example, some of you may have heard of Crystal Cave on San Bruno Mountain. I'll post some pics and a trip report from my recent visit. Also planning an expedition to the Deadman's Point coal mine. Hoping to connect with some like minded people...none of my friends are into this weird hobby of mine.

Not new but I've been MIA on the site for awhile! Trying to get back into exploration after abandoning the hobby for a bit. My name is Bel and I'm from Massachusetts if anyone is interested in exploring together! I'm located around Fall River / Taunton.

Hi! My name is Raine, located in Tennessee, moved here about a year ago now and just looking for interesting places around the area. Made this account some months ago but haven't really put it to use. Have become more interested in finding neat spots lately! Want to share my experiences and check out others'!

Hello everyone, I'm Chad from NC (originally from Kansas City, MO), and I'm a...semi-seasoned amateur explorer (I suppose). I love to travel, though I don't tend to have the finances for big fancy vacations...which is one thing that I like about urban exploring, it tends to be relatively cheap! I love nature and abandoned, old places fascinate me, and I like taking pictures. Not sure what else to say...I'll surely be sharing explore pics on here eventually, adventure stories, whatever anyone wants to hear, and I'm always willing to listen to or learn from others! Glad to be here!

Hey guys (and girls)! I have explored many abandoned buildings when i was younger, but just recently got back into UE as a hobby. I have a local place picked out as my first exploration and intend on doing some recon in a few hours when it is not so hot out., just to check out a good place to park my vehicle and enter undetected. Any tips or advice is always appreciated! Thanks.
Happy Exploring! |

Hey, all! I'm Vera, from Nova Scotia. I'm getting back into exploring after nearly a decade out of the game. You can feel free to read that as: having kids. I've been exploring, urban and rural, since I was a teenager growing up in New England. My adoration of all things old and structural led me to getting a graduate degree in Architectural Conservation...which is infinitely interesting but not so lucrative...Meaning that old buildings are still relegated to the area of "hobby" in my life, while I do something else entirely for the purposes of paying bills. Ah, c'est la vie! Do please say "hello" if you're located in Nova Scotia and wouldn't mind a person to tag-along next time you're out exploring.

G'daye everyone! I'm AJ, and I currently live in Ottawa and I've always been interested in urbex. I used to do something along the lines of RUREX when I was a child with my father, but now I want to do actual Urbex. I do love doing research and I already love exploring (A previous project of mine was to walk around Ottawa street by street to find the best restaurants and arcades). My other interests include watching movies & filmmaking (It's my planned career path) music (anything except country and techno), and photography (one of my current jobs)

Hey everyone, I'm Faith. My name is Faith and I am 18 years old. I will be attending Murray State University soon (so if you're also attending/nearby, I'd love to go explore with you), and I've been an explorer for around a year. I haven't gone too far, or to many places, but I plan on changing that soon. I'm also in the Clarksville, TN area frequently, as well as Nashville on occasion. If you're within an hour of me, I'd probably be down for a trip. A few facts about me are:
- I have 2 pet guinea pigs
- I am majoring in chemistry at MSU
- I enjoy all types of art: Painting, drawing, photography, etc.
- Halloween is my favorite holiday
- I enjoy doing sfx makeup
I hope that someone out there reads this. If you're near me, or just wanna chat, feel free to PM me. You can also check out my photography Instagram (which I hope is okay to post here) @LocalUrbex https://www.instagram.com/localurbex/ Have a lovely day
Take nothing but pictures, lea- Yeah yeah, you know where I'm going with this |

Hey, I'm another Mass kid from the south shore area. I'm a new member, but have been at this for awhile. I was wondering if anyone had any good Salem/Danvers spots? Everything seems to have been re-purposed.

Hey everybody! I'm the new kid on the block. I found this forum looking for new places to explore. In my last exploring expedition I was taking a guy new to town to some of the old places I've visited, but they were all being rehabbed or torn down. I live in St. Louis and it's great seeing the city being revived, but I'm sad that one of my favorite places just no longer exists... It was an old factory that artists ended using kind of like a graffiti gallery. My avatar was one of the paintings. I'll share some more of the pictures I took the last time I was there. I'm really excited to find this forum! I've been exploring abandoned places since High School in the early 2000's. The first place I explored was an old abandoned Transcendental Meditation center, near my home town, build in 1960's or 70's. Sadly one the owners after it was abandoned tore down the building, but that's what got me hooked.

I'm pretty sure no one uses this site anymore. Most of the replies I see are from 2011. Anyways, I am Dakotah. I am "New" to urbex. I use quotes because I feel like I have a bit of experience but not years and years of it. I have been to abandoned schools, hospitals, zoos, and houses. I want to find many more locations and hopefully new friends to go exploring with. I live in HTX.
