Looks more like an electrical outlet to me. But I could be wrong.

Its from one of the "plug-in" prototypes. I never could figure out this picture either.

Mystery solved. I was browsing pictures and saw this. I never noticed the bracket and wear marks in the top right corner.

..I think its a better picture too.

Technical details? The sea looks like a long exposure, but the lighthouse beam looks like two distinct snapshots.

Agreed, One seriously beautiful shot Boosted. Heres the same area taken from the lighthouse looking south down the shore.

This spot is great for night photos.

Thanks all!

@FastEddy, Its a 2-1/2 minute exposure at Pigeon Point lighthouse in Davenport. This lighthouse has a special lens that shoots light in about 8 direction and rotates vs a conventional lighthouse that has a unidirectional rotating light. Once a year in October they turn it on for 10 minutes without rotating the lens so photographers can shoot it, every nook and cranny of the beach has a tripod planted on it while this is happening, its a pretty neat event.

@Rozz, Thanks! If you click on the image, it'll take you to my website where you can purchase any of my images, or I can just email you the file and you can print it or whatever you want.

Here is the dusk photo of the same lighthouse.

i am the other yourself.

"Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices? I've heard them calling my name. Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors. The voice might be one and the same. I've heard it too many times to ignore it. It's something that I'm supposed to be." http://www.flickr....orers/collections/

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
