I thought this might be a fun thread, who are you favorite artists and who influences your work? I find my work is very influenced by Ed Keinholtz, Robert Smithson, Robert Fludd, Trismosin, Marcel Duchamp, Rene Magrette, and Alan Kaprow. To that list I'd add as favorites Lawrence Wiener, Joseph Kosuth, Robert Rauschenberg, Jean Tinguely, and most non-European religious art. Note worthy, I stuck with historical figures, but don't expect anyone do the same. It would probably be more interesting/ longer/ incomprehensible if I didn't. Who are yours?

Current favorite artist/influence: Dave McKean McKean is a traditional artist who combines his art with film. (Although he is probably most known for the comics he created with Neil Gaiman.) I recently watched his film, MirrorMask, and now I'm going through another ink and pen phrase. Here's the link to the trailer of Mirrormask: http://youtu.be/GA1iawlsKLg I highly recommend it.
