If you don't object to shopping at Walmart, this is a heck of a deal at about $25.
They claim 137 lumens and 26 hours run time. Uses 6 AAs.

My only complaint about it is that I have to fumble arround to find the switch. Had it been indented (or raised) it would be better. But damn it is cheap enough that it would be NBD to loose one and it is well made and water resistent.

How big/heavy is it compared to a mag lite?

It is about the about 9" long, making it roughly the same size as a 3 C cell Maglight. It is much lighter in weight. It is plastic, but a solid feeling, tough plastic. It has some water resistence too, I think they claim up 6 feet (so it's no diving light). The only way I think they could improve it would be making the switch easier to find and adding a hole for a lanyard. It's not a Surefire or a Fenix, but it is a helluva deal.

Here is an awesome 10 color torch: http://www.thinkge...dgets/lights/8db4/

It works quite nicely but is not watertight, however for the price it's totally worth it.

Got one. Madcap turned me onto it a few months back. This thing is awesome. I was gonna do a full review after it gets more field time. The color fade feature has made for some interesting painting.

Nice, it has sort of become a must have light on flickr in the LP community. I would encourage you to do the full field review, that would be interesting. Yeah the fade feature is a lot of fun for sure and I just like having ten colors in one torch. I dropped mine in a drain and found out it's not very watertight, that was the end of it so it's time to re-order. cheers

Ya, no. See I can't stomach Walmart. The only things I could even think to buy from there would be the motor oil, glass bottles, and shop rags I could use with gasoline to make the molotov cocktails I'd use to fire bomb the place.

The light looks Ok, but I'd have to get it elsewhere.

Where'd my oh there it is go?...damn.
