The car is still there... Clean title and all. It's their sons' car. He took his pickup to school with him and they don't need the Buick. It's not in bad shape at all... and the thing has every damn bell and whistle Buick could stuff into it. From what I could see, all the shit worked. (it was displaying an ABS warning light, but that is a symptom of where we live rather than something seriously wrong...)

Offer them 1200 cash, they'll take it.

I don't want the car... I just want the engine and transmission. Why? it will fit under the hood of the Beretta.

Ok, swapped the 1992 2wd Cherokee with 228k miles on it for a 1997 V6 automatic Mustang with 167K on it. Needs odds and ends (Basically, it was owned by a 2fast 2furious retard) but runs and drives excellent. Has some odd ball cold air intake that has the filter inside the fender. WTF. And someone painted the stock rims black. WTF. Oh, and cannot forget the green strobes in the grill. Fucking kids.

Hah and I thought I was bad about getting new cars so often. I should show this thread to my fiancee so she knows there are people who swap cars more often than me :p

We're pretty bad too. In the last three years, we've probably had almost 20 cars (some overlapped, in fairness). Currently, we have five, about to acquire a sixth.

Good engine, and if you got a manual transmission, a good trans, too. I've never been a fan of Honda automatics, and I'm a Honda guy.

Posted by Durdanaluminum drums! honda didnt go back to that until the insight. | It was of course where they started on their first real car, the S600/800. My 800 Coupe here: http://japanesenos...ic.php?f=1&t=19147 They come up really nice with a light wire brush, and some alloy wheel cleaner. See ya! Neko.

My Fiat has aluminum drums in the rear. They get all fluffy inside if the car sits for a few months, causing them to drag a bit for the first half mile or so.

Wife has the 292000 mile CRV, still going strong. So I threw $700 at a 91 Accord with 407000 miles. 2 door 5 speed. What have I done!

you've bought a car with the personality of a toaster oven. Is it beige too? or a gentle shade of forest green?

That would make it sound like it was one color and not various shades of red and flaking clear ;)

Yeah, the 4th generation Accords are a snooze fest and a half. The 3rd generation was pretty good, and the 5th generation was good. As drivers' cars, those are the only generations of Accords I could recommend from personal experience. I hear the 1st and 2nd generation Accords were good, but they really weren't quite ready for prime time in America with those cars. Good econoboxes, though. Unfortunately after the 5th generation, Accords started to feel more like the much unloved 4th gen cars. That trend continues to this day. With all that being said, I'm willing to bet that you won't have many problems out of the car. You're going to need an igniter at some point, but any Honda with a distributor will. I keep a spare in my 89 for that reason alone.
