No big deal. Welcome to UER
Following RR tracks or rivers will almost always reveal places you can explore.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I completely agree with you, I was once taken to a nearly untouched beach by a close friend and i watched it deteriorate after word got out. truly heart wrenching to know places that have long lost human activity are being turned into *hang out spots* that leads to increased security.

Now, if you want to meet other people, the best way to do that is to find a few locations near you to start. Then establish yourself on the forums by becoming an active and known poster, who regularly contributes to discussions. Once you're a little less of a stranger to everyone, find a UER member geographically close to you and PM them.

Is the last thread truly from 2020? Or is it because I cannot see deeper within the site? I would love to meet people who are as interested in exploring as I am...

I just hope this does not fall upon deaf ears. May I ask for advice on what to do next to be considered trustworthy and deserving of your experience? Thank you in advance

That's the direction to go in but not really the next step.

The first things a new member should do are to post their own work from whatever they've found so far, and engage with others in the forums.

By the way, this thread started in 2010.

I was a bit too trigger happy on that link. Good clarification.

Steed is 100% right here, whereas I unintentionally came off kinda dicky. Share what you can without giving your locations away. Folks here like pics, and lots of them!

And interaction, both in the form of praising other people's work and being a constructive part of more serious discussions. If you're a jerk, you won't be able to hide it for 50 posts, and if you aren't dedicated you won't make it as far as 50 posts.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to try and find more abandoned places to explore so I can hopefully get validated soon!

If I do post pictures of storm drains or sewers on UER, Can I say what the names of the places are or is it best not to say what the names of the drains and sewers are? Just so we're clear I did read the whole thread but I just wanted to make sure I understand what I read, so I don't make any big mistakes. Does that make sense?

I'd recommend for places in MSP to just steer clear of saying any names. Also you technically shouldn't post any pictures of features that are too identifiable but really with drains I don't think you should be too concerned about that. You have to have been in the drain to know what the picture is usually.

Good to know. Thanks. I'll try to remember that for the future (LOL).
