[Working] Urban Exploration Map'o'Wonders

So I have seen a few custom Google Maps from some of the users, which were all pretty good, but none seemed to be detailed enough. Sure they told you where it was and whether or not it was abandoned, but it didn't really ever tell you whether there was security, how hard it was to enter or simply where some nearby parking locations are (nobody wants a ticket to ruin there day) that's why I have created the "Urban Exploration Map'o'Wonders". A more detailed list.

Though there are only like what, three locations set on here, each of them show nearby parking and where the entrances are, along with whether or not there is security and how hard it is to access the actual building.

I want to open this to everyone, but I figure that, since I live in the Tri-State Area, I might as well open it to you guys first.

Please, please, please add locations to it, and please use the color code and other icons that are listed in the description to show details of entrances and where to park. If you have pictures it would be awesome to put them on there as well. Thanks

If you can't edit it, PM me and I will try to fix the problem. If you have a website that features certain areas be sure to link to it in that area's description.

I like the idea, but posting specific data about entrance ways on google maps makes it fantastically easy for the building owners to seal up these entryways. Also making these entrances this known is how buildings end up overrun with "tourists" and other douchebag types who take souveniers, strip copper, and break shit, ultimately making these places shittier for us and more likely to be monitored.

TL;DR, I recommend taking down the entry information. There's already the UER locations database that has some excellent writeups on places with hazards and whatnot.

Alright. True.

I was thinking about that but thought "ah, what the heck"; besides, if the places you are posting are that important to you then why not make a location on the DB of it (that can also get you a badge). I suppose you could always link to it in the description text (even though that may prevent the purpose though I am pretty sure that that requires you to be registered.)

But, I do want to keep the parking, because as the driver of my group the first thing I ever ask when they want to go somewhere to explore is "Where do I park."

Thanks though Budda. It's nice getting some constructive criticism from people and it also shows that some people are cooperating. With your site and all you might be able to add some good spots in.

-edit::

I took that part out now, now it doesn't show any entrances.

course adding the POE, takes the fun out of exploring, IMHO. Nice start for the map though.

You're getting way too specific. Vague and sneaky is the correct way to do things in this hobby, except on a need-to-know basis to people you trust.

Edit 4 grammorz.

Well, obviously. But our personal database has a much, much (much) lower chance of actually being discovered by someone who cares than someone who just so happens to search "Urban Exploration" on the second site down in the sub-link of that search result it shows "Location DB" with much more specific versions of each place along with multiple pictures and a map.

Now I'm not saying it is the best idea, but when it comes to what we do nothing is really a good idea. But if I were looking for if people were getting into my abandoned building, I would probably check the biggest Urban Exploration site in the world first

I'll make it real simple for you. Delete it or I castrate you TOMORROW. The locations database is for full members only, and it's kinda hard to become a full member. The only locations you'll find in that database without being a full member are absolutely trashed terrible boring locations and locations that don't exist anymore (ie demolished, repurposed, etc).

I generally don't care what other people do as long as they're only hurting themselves. This map endangers more than yourself, no matter how small the risk of someone who cares enough to act against the UE community actually finding it is.

I'm sure the best one probably has to do with Italian restaurants on the east coast.
