Your favorite Death In June is neofolk/apocalyptic folk, very similar to Allerseelen, Blood Axis, Triarii or Sol Invictus,..and it's not Post-Punk/Gothic Rock.
if it happened after punk its post punk in my book.
And Death in June is pretty goth, but not in a "coffin and bat" sorta way.

ahh...I didn't want to comment on this topic but I had to, mainly because I am so annoyed with this kid here who thinks that he knows everything about post-punk/goth music/bands. You haven't even posted any of the bands you like and yet you're criticizing someone else's list? Get off your fucking pedestal. What makes you the all knowing being of post-goth/punk music?
Uh. I like Joy Division. And early Cocteau Twins. I should probably apologize for being so entry-level, but I find that "post-x" genres are very poorly defined as it is, so I don't know what would be categorized as such.

There is really happy post punk, which is what I lean towards. Goths are too stuck up.

They're actually pretty good. I think they're a little over the top at times, and a little too in love with themselves, but I still like 'em.

And I have to recommend my favorite post punk band, Veil Veil Vanish.
