Hey guys, rural property crime has been skyrocketing in our general area. Been hearing a lot of grumbling about shooting first and asking questions later. Be careful out there!

Yikes! Scout, scout, second guess, take a buddy!
Last thing we need is more "in memoriam" threads.

I've noticed anything thats been abandoned in less than a few weeks on the outskirts of Edmonton has had "visitors".

Seems like they actively prowl for anything.

This damned weather, getting my hopes up! It was looking so hot and dry for a couple days...thought if it kept up like that we might get a chance to drain this season after all!

I know, I'm a dreamer.

Mu friends want to go to a ghost town, any recs for something that's relatively close to city? Google seems to only give locations that are 2+ hours away.

Thanks.

edit: is mirama still accessible?

Bumping for inactivity. Assuming we receive less precipitation next summer expect further draining on my behalf, accompanied by larger photo posts and perhaps written accounts.

Uncertain as to whether this is a sealed outfall or bunker/ similar structure. Saving access for a later date.

I'm hoping to get my toes wet (so to speak, hopefully not literally) draining in the next year as well.

That first shot, very interesting! Any other details you'd be able to share? Feel free to pm me.

Found an abandoned cottage in the river valley, still had electricity and most likely an armed alarm. Has a path going up to active facility with cameras.

It was a decent scout that I thought was a much higher risk due to accessibility to make a quick exit if needed.

There's always something out there just have triple check every lead.

Don't log in often but had to reply to this and throw in an update.
The cabin right by my house as I live on that gravel road but it was owned by Sandy Mctaggart and was a get away cabin from his main house which is up that trail. Cool but it is still alarmed and nice on the inside lol. Before the bridge was built there was lots of other cool buildings in that property dating back to like early 1900s if not earlier.
Edmonton has been shit for exploring other than a few locations that I seemed to be the first at but my highlight was my multiple trips to explore Tranquille in Kamloops Bc. One of the creepiest but coolest places I have been. if you haven't heard of it google it and definitely recommend checking it out if you ever have the chance

Not, perhaps, a little BEFORE it's done?
