That is more and more common. Sometimes, there are additional cameras inside the trains. Also, security cameras in more and more places are sometimes near the train in the right place at the right time.

On the NEC they have been installing out the front window of several Amtrak head units the "Silent Witness" cameras to catch the kids who take ropes and hang stuff from overpasses wanting to see trains smash shit.
CP is installing cams in the front window of many of it's cabs,
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!
