This has turned into one interesting thread.

junkyard, you are indeed correct that this hat in the photograph is the one that the Slim Jim has been seen occasionally wearing, however, I'm fairly certain that the hat belonged to this rather enthusiastic fellow before Jim snatched it off his head and rode off on his bicycle, simply because this particular hat is made out of real tin, not that cheap aluminum crap that isn't nearly as efficient at blocking out the evil messages.

we didn't see anyone at the solar plant. and i still don't think the two are related. they aren't terribly close. sure, they are in adjacent fields, but so are a lot of things out there.

nice find! we actually dropped by a few days ago and took a reading at the power meter. in a few days we'll go back and get another reading. i'm curious to see what the power usage is like there.

Brown's work on 'anti-gravity' is nothing more than propulsion from gas ionization, and it's an extremely inefficient use of power at that.

Definitely CIA, those antennas and the CIA is the only people that train and employs those highly effective guard owls.

I will give this place this much. I'm pretty keen at getting in to places and this place is totally locked down. More so than any barn should be. However I highly suspect the owners were tired of people just traipsing around his barn and decided to find someone like us to figure out a way to secure it.

It's still a neat old barn and the locks make me want to see inside it that much more.

ok, so here's a small update. about a week ago, we took a meter reading. we stopped by there on our way back from eaton with dreski (pictures coming later) and took another reading. here is what we found....

in ~5.8 days, the barn has used 29 KWH. That comes out to about 4.9 a day. Given that there's 4 big flood lights on there, I would say that accounts for the electricity. a fridge or freezer uses about 1 kwh a day (if it's relatively efficient). so there could be something else in there, but not much. looks like its just a barn that's obscenely locked down.

That is so weird. Is there anything else on the outside. Or any wires running in to the building and bypassing the electrical box?

i don't think so. there are some cable wires (coax), but they might just be old. they don't appear to be new or in use. we got some other pictures inside (through holes and such), and it doesn't look like there's much of anything in there. but there is a strange looking door.

that door is NOT the front door. its internal.

the thing straight ahead is a boarded up window. the door i'm talking about is to the left in the picture. there isn't light coming from under it.
