I sometimes prefer riding on those old buses rather than the new low-floor Orion VII which get so cramped when they're full with their narrower aisles.

Not enough people here use public transit. I have proof:

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too! |

GO Transit has the same ones, only newer! :P

Have you noticed the GO Double Deckers don't have the Ontario or Canadian flags on them? The reason is that they can't get that flag as they were not made in Canada or with Canadian workers.

I hadn't noticed that, it makes sense. But those new MP40's have the Ontario trillium logo on them, and they were made is Boise ID...while all the bilevels built in T-Bay don't. Go figure

The trillium logo doesn't have such requirments as I recall. If another order for the BiLevels comes into Bombardier, I can gurrantee it will have the Maple Leaf flag on them.

|
They have been using them for about 10 years now.

And yes, as our transit expands here on fantasy island, we have brand new double deckers from europe as well, they just don't like to reveal themselves to PDX'ERS, much like trains don't!!! (hint-talgo,)

Hybrid bus with supercaps (on the roof, and not shrouded especially for the presentation). Other than that, most city buses in the Netherlands look like this. (not posted here for the good picture, but for an overview of Dutch Buses) Tijmen
