Is my favourite B&W/Developer combo, you can push Neopan 400 up to 3200 if needed and the Xtol draws out the shadow detail.

No they were shot at speed, I have a few rolls shot at 3200 I need to develop soon. The rolls I have pushed to 1600 are as fine grained as 400 with only a slight increase in contrast really.

Does anyone else here use this combo? I always hear a lot of talk about Ilford when shooting B&W anymore...

I've been shooting from my stockpile of Agfa APX and developing in Rodinal 1+50. I love the combination, Rodinal is like magic sauce.

I've shot Neopan 400 before, but developed in TMax, if I remember correctly. It's nice film, super sharp.

as far as development times, go here: http://www.digitaltruth.com/devchart.php. they have times for every film/developer combination you can think of.

I would go to photo.net and search their site, if there's no thread there already ask, it's a great resource for anything involving cameras.

Imprez, APX400 is a great film, it's a shame Agfa stopped producing it, luckily if you shoot 35mm you can get a roll of 24 APX400 for about $1.60 at Ultrafine Online.

I've got the 100 speed version. Super fine grain, and it pops in Rodinal (that's what it's meant for).

1ajs, you might want to check the expiration dates on those...I'm not sure developer will keep forever. Maybe the powdered stuff, but the liquid fixer and dev might be off.
