Girlfriend's cat had kittens a bit over two weeks ago.. Mommy cat was shaking this one by the throat yesterday trying to kill it and left it at the bottom of the stairs. So now I'm raising her. She still needs to be stimulated to poop (hasn't yet) and won't eat very much (bottle feeding her goats milk until I can get some KMR milk replacement).. I'm going to take her to the vet tomorrow if she doesn't poop tonight. Anyway, her name is Bearkat!
50% bear, 50% cat!
Never was a cat person at all until now. I just want her to survive this. I love her already so much.

Good news! Bearkat is about as healthy as a kitten can be. The vet said she doesn't seem to have any blockages, and she's probably not pooping because she's being bottle fed and it's mostly liquid anyway. They said not to worry unless she stops eating or starts meowing in distress (meowing for no reason). She eats and pees (when stimulated) just fine, and she's almost 4 weeks old so she should be going on her own soon enough. Yay Bearkat!

Does she use the litter pan OK? I thought cats were taught that by their moms. She's cute as hell, BTW.

If you're having problem with her going in the litter box, try putting some of her poop or pee in it. That's what I did for my motherless kittens and they did fine. Bearkat is awesome, by the way. Thank you for saving her!

Thanks for the tip SB! Bearkat is doing well, we haven't started litter training her yet, that starts tonight. She had to make another trip back to the vet because of her constipation issues. They gave her an enema and made her poop, and got the other stuff out of the way too (worming, tests, etc.etc.). She pooped on her own for the first time today so now the litter box is coming out! Hopefully she'll be as easy to train as Taylor (my pig) was. I hear cats are pretty good with it. I'll post some more pics soon!

Here are my two roomies. Both of my cats are rescues and were adults when I got them. Clyde I got with his sister Bonnie, but she got really sick, bla bla you don't want the story. So once Clyde was cleared for being healthy, I went in search of a new friend for him as he was so lonely and cried. I found Envy, adopted her, he stopped crying, and a week after I got her from the Oshawa shelter it burnt down. She was meant to be my kitty 1. Clyde aka Monkey, silly face, sucka, big baby
2. Envy aka lil miss, stinky

Who's nice?
They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn! |

So cute! I used to have pet rats when I was a teenager. The teeth grinding will drive you mad... mad I tell you!

This is Maggie. I had her since I was 7. She passed away in November. She was the sweetest, happiest cat in the world
This is Jezebel (J, our roommate's kitty. He rescued her from a parking lot in Florida. She's a sweety.
She loves tearing up his computer chair. She's good though, she doesn't destroy anything else

Thanks! He's such an awesome little guy. The bruxing (or teeth grinding) is a good sign, as he typically does it when he's really happy. And thankfully, we don't have to keep the little guys in our bedroom, so we don't hear whatever they're getting up to during the night. ;) The eye boggling though, that's a little disturbing. I keep waiting for his little ratty eyeballs to pop out of his head.
