I can't even move my stupid pick around inside a lock since the tension wrench is in the way. Do I have a really fat tension wrench???? http://www.lockpickshop.com/KP-TW.html that's a terrible picture. No I don't have that pick, just the wrench. L

i can't tell based on that picture. can you get a better one? what lock are you trying to pick? i have had some similar difficulty with very small padlocks. i just made a smaller tension tool out of the metal blade from windshield wipers. SD

Well, I was just practicing on my lock at home (don't worry, not too much - and also a desk lock that is easily compromised). The problem is, that and any other lock I have in the house - the tension tool just seems way too thick and it impedes the entry of the pick. Even if I put the pick in first, there's no way to move around in there. I will try the windshield wiper thing, or I suppose I can file the tool I have already? I dunno. It seemed like a good hobby to pick up but I can't even get started ;) L

Look up the yellow pages for a company in your area that has those big street sweepers. Go there, and look on the ground around the area for bristles from the street sweeper's brushes.

LOL....well, I'm too busy/lazy to go hunt down something. I think I'm just gonna have to buy a small one. Or (duh) for learning it, I can just borrow the crap tools from the fiance's brother. But I was just confused because the set I bought came with that tension thing that is so thick, it's not useful. It had good revies, too. Even though any fold out pick set is really, honestly, a novelty pretty much. L
