Kinda cool, but I assume they aren't end all and will be pickable just slightly more difficult.. http://www.bumpsto...ylinder-tech.shtml

it seems to me like just a marketing thing. it looks like you'd just have to tap the key harder.
do you know how to waltz? |
|
looks like a key that is cut with higher peaks would do the trick. i'd like to get my hands on one and see if it's really any better.
F this I"m going exploring! |

pretty much it just seems to me you have a 50-50 chance of catching the ridge or bumping the lock.. I am sure if you were "good" at bumping locks and you just went to town on it you would get it eventually..

Is it me? or does the narrator guy sound exactly like the guy from unsolved mysteries?

The only locks that i could say are unbumpable are locks with a sidebar, like Medeco sidebar locks, but someone actually cracked them and supposedly made a set of 4 bumb keys which can open any factory MEdeco lock. have a read at this http://www.wired.c...deco?currentPage=2 http://blog.wired....nnalynn-a-12-.html http://www.engadge...not-secure-part-i/ Medeco invited the guys to their factory and they couldn't bump their lock, as they claimed they could, but im sure even these lock might be bumpable someway

Uh, ya medeco CAN be bumped. My friends can and have done it. Next, Abloy locks. There ya go. Cannot be bumped. Theres some other locks as well, but I'll let someone else answer.
