I am having problems with a saber. I can recieve but everytime I transmit it just holds a constant tone when I try to transmit.

I've passed the message on to a Motorola Lab Technician I know...I'll let you know what he says.. -Mike

Below is the reply from my tech... A RAT tone is a button you push on the side of the radio which sends either a SingleTone or a series of DTMF tones which will open up the channel. The MDC is a form of ANI which could be set wrong (check the MDC Pre-Time, and make sure it's set to something small like 50msec or some such).. If you want... e-mail me a copy of the codeplug from the radio and I'll take a look at it.. (mike@warpzone.ca) Thanks! -Mike ----------- From: r0f To: ExKa|iBuR Posted: Fri Jan 16, 2004 5:39 am Subject: Re: saber problem... Sorry, am not familiar with that problem. Try checking for RAT (Repeater Access Tones) or MDC signalling which may be programmed incorrectly. A tone to me, could mean something very different to someone else who has no clue. S

Sounds Familiar, however, my Saber has a couple channels that are programmed only on the receive side with transmit locked out. Could that be it?
