I was on a trail today and got thinking if anyone has found any really cool locations while going offroad... I've found one really neat old house, filled to the brim (literally) with odd junk. It's never had electricity or running water. PLUS.... it had a '68 Beetle in the backyard.

I bet you saw the beetle before you noticed the house. While off roading back in the early 80's I crested a hill and discovered many nude people frolicking in a field. It seems I off roaded into the backside of the local nudist resort. Ooops. Many years later I went back that route and found that the location had closed up, and was now abandoned. Not much to see, just a filthy empty pool and some shacks that might have been change rooms. I dont understand why they can let it all hang out while playing volleyball and such, but require a shack to get undressed in.... Odd folks... very odd

The shacks were for teh seck!

Yeah, I DID notice the Beetle first! That's funny re: nudist colony in the middle of nowhere.

Where's this house/trail? Is the trail any good, stock friendly or a minimum lift/tire?

I will have to bring my camera this winter snowmobiling and see what I can come up with. I have found some really neat places but the lense gets all fogged up and the guys never want to stop long enough for me to look around unless there are girls and or beer involved.
A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind. |

Yeah, 4wheeling has really facilitated UE. Pretty much every trip becomes both: Centralia, PA Turnpikes (no, not ON the turnpike – though they tried to talk me into it) Concrete City, Shenandoah (St. Nick coal breaker), upstate NY, on and on. If you get really bored, there’s off road in most of my UE videos: http://www.youtube...er/pdlong123456789

Almost forgot about this one – how about vacationing in the OBX? You can UE and 4w at the same time! BTW, with the Currie AntiRock, I gotta .96 RTI with the swaybar still attached.

We found a 'refurbished' ghost town in the middle of BF AZ while looking for an abandoned cliff house. Rounded the corner, and <emril> 'Bam!' </emril> there it was. Totally cool find.
