Let's spark a little discussion. What kind of wheeling do you do? What do you like the most?
|
|
Well, I'm late here, but I mostly do old railroad beds and mine roads. I rarely 4x4 just for kicks. Its almost always trying to find an old town or watering station. Generally, I'd say I'm mostly a sand and snow guy.
I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread. |

I'm a trails guy myself. Something the whole family can enjoy.
|
|
Speaking of family. I was out riding my atv one day, and this Subaru station wagon shows up with an entire family. I was rolling. Thing did pretty good too.

Trails... don't want to scratch up my Durango. It's the newest thing I've ever owned!

Bandi, I hear you came down here. Next time, bring the Durango, we'll show you some good trails.
Suggested Equipment: Rollcage.
|
|
Doesn't a Durango need a rollcage for daily use anyhow? hehe And yup, drove right by! Didn't have much choice as per vehicle, though, had the company truck with a boat trailer... next time, I'll bring the Dingo.

Bring it on Bandi, I just bought myself a new offroad truck, one I'm going to keep nice. I'm selling my chevy, and my 4runner. I'm buying a 79 f150 on 36's.

Eh, quit your red-necking in mud puddles on the side of a road; get out and play! :)

I tried for mud and rocks, but the Jeep is better in rocks. But I had my share of mud trucks. There should be a choice for all of the above.

I'll have pics soon, but not sure if pics of me on trails is that exciting to begin with. Anyhoo, I'm still here, but wish I could find more trails. ... Oh, not the normal trails you guys think, but abandoned or private road trails that lingre around town. So yeah, I guess pics would be in order...

FUCK YEAH! anyway i broke my frame so i'll be cruisin' the town in my badass (stock!) infiniti until i can afford to fix it. damn rust. i'm looking at modding it, though. here's my list of ultra-mods: - change oil occasionally - find some way to mount my winch on it - and maybe some daylighters - racing stripes (+10 horsepower!) - try not to destroy it before i fix my jeep - destroy it after fixing my jeep

Hmm yea id like to vote for multiples. My truck started life as a daily driver AND daily mudder. Literally daily. I went mudding every day after school. And no not splashing through 12" deep puddles like the kiddies nowadays call mudding. Like the stuff where your truck dives into a hole and a wave of water comes up over your windshield and flows into the back window all over your stuff. And under that there is about a foot and a half of the thick ass mud you step in and loose a shoe that you never see again. Mud was my passion. For now ive outgrown it and im more of a trails and scenery type of guy. I love how kids now think the only way to get through a mudhole is to install 38's dual exhaust and a big "redneck" sticker that they bought at a gun show in suburbia and then hit the gas as hard as they can and hope they move!
