Just thought I'd let you all know that fellow explorer and one of my good friends, Seth Thomas aka "dev" or "devnull" passed away earlier today.

Very sad to hear the news, my deepest condolences.

Oh man. That's terrible, I've talked to him online before. I feel so bad now.
"Walter, what are you doing, man?" |

How did this happen?
We must also go out and meet the enemy before he reaches our shores. We must defeat him before he attacks us, before our cities are laid to waste. William Lyon Mackenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada from 1921-1926, 1926-1930 and 1935-1948 |

I don't know the specifics, but people are saying he passed away in a train accident. Horrible.... :'(

I've met him a few times. He was always really mellow, easy going, an all around cool guy. This is very sad to hear. I'm still in shock, I don't understand how this could've happened.

WTF indeed. |

Wow, that's terrible. Everyone said he was a great guy that was easygoing and cool to be with. I wanted to talk to him about exploring in Michigan. Now I'll never get the chance. Condolances to his friends and family.

My condolences for your loss.

He was hit by a train. They're not sure if it's suicide, homocide or an accident. He seemed perfectly fine a few hours before. He will be missed.

That's really sad. I'm sure it was an accident, he seemed like he knew how to handle himself, but train tracks are very dangerous. I've been hurt bad on tracks and it's easy to do. I'm here mostly because of luck; no train was coming. Dev seemed like an OK guy, very disturbing to hear this though I never met him. My thoughts and condolences to those left bereaved by his untimely passing.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

Somewhere in Chicago. We went out for coffee and dinner then I dropped him off at the train station, I insisted on driving him home but he wanted to take the train.

I've talked with dev a few times and I give my condolences as well to his family and friends. I also like to remind people that if you try to fight a train, the train will always win. You drop him off at Chicago's Randolph Street station camerakid so he can take NICTD back to Gary?
