READ THE THREAD TITLE!! Well I play(ed) drums for a Jazz/Blues band. My buddies mom supported us a whole hella lot so she bought us a drum set. I wasnt that good but I could keep a steady beat. When I sadly was relocated to New York I couldnt take the drum set with me so I havent played the drums in over a year. The original band called The Heavy Winter Blues Band will never be again, the bass player (Bryan) stoped playing the bass which was a damn shame because he was good as hell on the thing. He switched to guitar because it "wasnt as flashy as the guitar" and he now plays in his own "metal" band. When I go back to Baltimore my freind Jeff (guitarist) and I plan on re-kindlin' a blues/jazz band.

I play bass and Guitar....i'm not very good at either. I think this coming winter i will become better though, as the school i'm going to has more people that WANT to start a band and have normal practices. I picked up guitar because its much easier to play by yourself without a band. Where as if you take up bass you learn much quicker if you have a band to practice with. I was kind of in a band....We would jam together every now and again but no one in the band besides me actually wanted to play shows or progress pass basement jams. It's a shame now though because everyone is moving to different parts of the country to go to college. We were very good though....we had something that we could have blown every other band out of the water at my high school. But no one gave a shit so nothing ever happened. I might go out and buy an acoustic bass or guitar later today though i think i will get more use out of an acoustic than an electric at the dorms though.

I am a kick ass female drummer... started out play snare drum for a pipe and drum band for the military/legion. Now I've made my way to a pretty good level on a nice pair of drums... In highschool I was playing the Trumpet and French Horn.

I've played guitars of all forms for about 8 years now. used to have a strict practise regimen of at least 7-8 hours a day in the early years, which dropped to 6, 5, 4... now im so busy im lucky if i can get in 20 hours a week, and I get just enough to maintain my technical proficiency. I plan to get right back into it when i'm out of school though, maybe find another band eventuallya nd do some recording. I also started playing piano about a year ago. i thought it would be really hard, but its way easier than guitar, and really relaxing. I can also play bass, though i find it much less enjoyable than guitar and piano.

Guitar, sax and vocals. I'm a straight rhythm guitar player, and I only play Fender, but I can flat ass PLAY the sax. I sing fairly well also. Been in a million bands, and looking for another.
I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread. |

it was only a year and a half of playing, but it counts enough that i know the different fingerings and can handle the stupid amount of partials on those things

I play the piano (primary instrument), laptop, turntable, guitar, bass, trumpet, horn, a plethora of electronic instruments, and many other instruments using extended techniques. I'm a comp. student, so...it comes in handy. However, percussion seem to be posing a serious problem.

Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba, Baritone/Euphonium. I'll screw around sometimes with an acoustic bass or a guitar. Focus recently has been on the Trombone.
