UE & Sunday School entry by Axle 2/5/2006 5:35 PM
| As some of you may know I'm an upstanding member of my home church (Knox Presbyterian) in my hometown. I do the sound system and computer and also teach sunday school. Well today I did it, I successfully integrated my Urban Exploration Hobby with Sunday School. We were talking about being kind and I had my flashlight with me, which has all the locations I've been to at least once carved into the handle. And also one of the kids knows and has gone on a semi-UE exploration. So yeah....I explained that I was going to be kind this week by sending Twixy some Coffee Crisp bars, 'cause she loves them and can't get them in the states. Funny, you'd never think Tresspassing and learning about kindness can go hand in hand, well expect for the fact that we promote being kind the the places we go.

Funny Axle, I just posted on a thread that being in abandonments is the closest I have ever come to what most christians would describe as a "religious experience". At first it was all about going into the unknown, maybe for a thrill, Im not sure why. But really, going into abandonments is a source of inner reflection and... other things that I cannot really describe. Then again, I suppose faith is all about going into the unknown as well, isnt it?
