i found a fragment of a skull that looked quite human in a small building in some woods near my house. it is a small, one-roomed kind of building, with a tunnel underneath it, presumably a garage or something. one would usually access the garage thing by means of either a manhole-like ladder in the concrete floor, or through the tunnel's opening not too far away. but now, there is a large (about 8 ft across) circular hole in the cement floor. but i digress. on the edge of said hole, i found something that looked like a chicken bone or something of the sort. but then i looked again and noticed several things. 1.) there is really no place on a chicken that the bone would fit. 2.)there seemed to be the tp of two eye sockets. 3.)above the eye sockets was the start of a forehead. I was slightly unnerved by the end of the day. probably a combination of the strangeness of that building, the strangeness of the woods, and the "skull", if that is what it was.

Found this one just yesterday in an abandoned manufacturing plant. Apparently, someone was getting tired of having to clean the toilet seat:
I have to imagine this was only true for the men's room. I couldn't find out for sure though, as this is what greeted me around the corner of the ladies room:
Sorry ladies. TMiB

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread. |

i don't have a picture, but i've seen human shit and wads of tp in a corner of an abandonment. unfortunate timing, because i had just convinced a gal pal of mine to go ue with me after telling her it was safe/fun/sanitary. she got grossed out and never went with me again.

One of the strangest things I have ever found was while walking down the shore line to a famous ship graveyard on Staton Island New York I found a coconut washed up on the beach. What the hell is a coconut doing way up here. It was probably 1500 miles from the closest coconut tree.
It was in September, we saw their silhouettes fade away, outlined on the horizon against the rays of the setting sun. |

It was certainly unexpected. I was just moving in for the obligatory toilet shot and there they were (I say they because this same message was on both stall doors. I still feel badly for the ladies in this factory who couldn't even get into their bathroom. On a side note - the location in question was just starting to undergo some renovations in the front part, wayyyyyyyyyy far away from these bathrooms. Cinderblock shells of stalls and such were in place, and a small army of toilets waited patiently outside in the warehouse.. but then, the building closed.. and those poor toilets are just sitting there now. Which I guess is what toilets do, if you think about it.
In any event, the green one is my favourite. TMiB

I'd have to agree. It must have been the toilet of choice for leprechaun employees. Great pics MIB.

Oryx near Brice. Someone had been kind enough to saw off his horns and remove his genitalia. Fairly bloated from the sun as well. Almost made me have a salad for lunch. Almost.

It's interesting to note that those are the two parts which some cultures believe contain aphrodisiacs and do command a high price on the black market. I hope this doesn't signal the start of illegal hunting for this. Sad indeed.

Leo1: You cant just wander around Gary going into old buildings! Theres plenty of crackheads that will bust you in the mouth for that camera, then run a train your ladyfriends. Me: I like Gary, I think its nice, aside from the lack of eats on a Sunday afternoon. Leo2: Yeah, its really nice...until we find three dead strangers in an...abandoned...thing. |

I found dead birds, cats, foxes and a few dead vultures. Running up steps to see a huge dead vulture scared the hell out of me! I didnt realize it was dead at first...but thats all so far.
