Sounds like my college sleep schedule. Sleep 3 hours at night due to studying and work, get up, go to class, come back and sleep more. Get up, get dinner, then sleep more... Slightly different but I know a friend who actually follows the Polyphasic sleep pattern. Works for him.

I tried this but couldn't get through the 1st 3 days. I realized my weekend schedule shifted and I would have to change my naps. It was more of a hastle then it was worth. Maybe during the summer I'll give it a try.

I've been functioning on a biphasic sleep pattern for some time now and I'm finding it difficult to convert back to a monophasic pattern. The biphasic sleep pattern seems to cause more social trouble than its worth.
