There is this old garage in my town. A couple of years ago, the guy who owned it died and it bounced around from use to use. Until a couple of weeks ago... At that point, something strange started to happen inside. The door would be open and you would catch a glimpse of a TOS-era shuttlecraft inside the door, or a costume hanging on a hook... WTF are they doing in there... Well now the secret is out. They are a bunch of Trekkies making movies for the internet in an unbelievably accurate set... a couple of my quasi-UE friends social-engineered their way into it this evening and got some awesome pics. IT LOOKS LIKE THE BRIDGE OF THE ENTERPRISE... right down to the blinky lights! They have even built sets of the quarters and everything... so far, all I have is a web address... pretty neat. www.newvoyages.com Enjoy Samurai

moving right along, I ran into the guy whos' brain this all came out of (he's a hell of an Elvis impersonator too- nationally ranked no less) at the Walmart the other night and I guess this guy has been in talks with Paramount (?) about doing this for real instead of it being an internet thing... it's that good. Most people here don't even pay it no mind, checking out of the grocery store behind a Vulcan, don't even give it a second look. I think it's pretty cool, myself. Samurai
