Infiltration

Holy Moly, I forgot that I had a journal here, maybe it was the trip to cali. Was that before or after this feature popped up? No Matter. It's back in the mind now.

So, On the UE front, I've been doing little. I've scrambled up onto the roof of the student center once or twice this semester. I've done a few more roofs around campus. No tunnels though. I've tried the access point a few times, still viable as of November. Perhaps Kowalski knows different. It's getting hard to explore with this damn job. It's funny. I get off at 1am, dressed all in black, and still can't manage to do anything. Fark. So now GS is all up on getting into the tunnels and it's sparked some kind of flame. Now I'm back into this. Thanks Gunslinger. I got excited when Tai was gonna join up here and was starting to get serious about going out with me on this crazy hobby.... but it's never gone through. Tried to go to the brickworks, but timing was bad. Midterms. Then Kowalski and I were gonna do a stack endowed place, I thought Tai might go, but things got busy for K and me, never happened. The Tunnels that me and magellan skittered around in were new, tight and monotonous. BORING and BACKBREAKING. No fun in the long run, but all smiles all the whiles. The Abandoned house project for photo class went swimmingly, and I think I've found my niche in the visual arts world. Perhaps I can wedge a thesis out on this topic of urban exploration.

Personally? What's there to say. Things with me and Magellan have been going pretty sweetly. But she keeps tossing this self-loathing wrench in the works. Now she's on about not wanting to ruin our children with lies about santa. What's that about? You're supposed to lie to kids about santa! FUCK, we don't HAVE kids or wedding rings on our fingers yet. Jeeze. Worst of all, I, a christian man, am left feeling like a relic. Why's it gotta be all or nothing? I'm not a petty consumerist. I'm not buying into the commercialism of christmas full blow. I recognize and love that at the center of the season, for me, there is a religious and spiritual belief that drives the season. Nucleus to my amoebic christmas. Hell, his name is in the damned season. It's not Santamas. What-the-yule happened to balance? Where is rationality? She doesn't want any pagan crap in her christmas? Is it too hard for her to concentrate on the Lords message with it all blaring in there? Fuck, I don't know. Damned if I do, lemme tell ya. But fuck if it isn't aggravating. These are my beliefs that she traipsed all over. Walked the fuck over it. Acceptance, balance, harmony. That's what christmas is about, that's what the celebration of the birth of my personal saviour is all about. You can't be a christian and FUNCTION in todays world without balance. I'm not saying sacrifice, I'm not saying give up, I'm saying "balance". You can't get by without it. I can't do a christmas without it. If she wants that kitschy, commercial, pagan "santa loving" christmas holiday hubbub out of her christmas altogether, I guess I'm gonna be tossed out with the trash. That's where my spirit lies. In between the two.

To end on a brighter note, I saw an outflow grate on the way home from york the other day, and it looks promising. So here's to the holidays and a happy new year of exploring possibilities. God Bless us, every one.
