Very cool pics! Just a helpful tip, Flickr should have an option to generate a bbcode link- if you post that there instead of a plain html link, the pics will show directly on this forum instead of folks needing to individually open each link.

Anyway though, very nice! Love the old machinery.

Thanks so much for the tip! I just re-edited links as you suggested. I appreciate it!

Everyone has a dark side, mines just a little more illuminated.

Hahaha thank you Abby! I appreciate all the nice comments 🙂. It was one of my favorite mines we’ve explored so far. I’ve never found a shovel before so I was super excited about that.

I don't allow myself to go in mines because I'm too dynamite curious

Are we living a life that is safe from harm? Of course not, we never are. But that's not the right question. The question is, are we living a life that is worth the harm?

You'd love Utah, I once found an old metal door labeled "explosives" while exploring a mine in Park City.

We have found sooo much dynamite through the years. On a couple of occasions, significant quantities. I'm good about leaving it alone since I am not interested in blowing myself up, or getting arrested on explosives charges.

Did you find any mushrooms or bugs down there? any weird animals or noises? I personally love caves but have only ever been in one. do you know if the explosions were still active, or if they were too old to actually explode?

Explosives are never too old to not explode, or at least I haven't heard of any that are. There's a reason why bomb squads are called when old bombs are found. Be careful around them ;)

I’m always too nervous moving any boxes that aren’t already open from the top haha.

No creatures inside the mine besides a few bats.
