What tools are smart to bring with when exploring?

Hello a rookie here looking for advice, I'm just wondering about what to bring when exploring drain systems hence I've heard about pipes being dangerous more then others what tool could I use to be safer.

Check out the threads under the "Gear" section for more specifics. But in general, for drains you should have knee high rubber boots to keep your feet dry (though this is optional if you don't mind being wet and cold) and at least 2-3 independent sources of light, with backup batteries for each.
