So there was a creepypasta made about 17 years ago about a place about 2 hours away from Hastings Nebraska. It involved a world war 2 era bunker full of showerheads and water, known to be on satanic worship ground. to enter the bunker you go through a barn and through a tunnel. Outside the barn there are massive hedges stretching out for about 200 yards. the whole place is surrounded by barbed wire fence. I have good reason to suspect that this place is much more than myth and in fact a very real place, by which I mean I met the man who told the author of the creepypasta and subsequent book the original story. I was wondering if anyone from the Hastings area has any information on the subject? TLDR: I'm requesting info on the location featured in the showers creepypasta

Sounds like the abandoned Air Force Base that's East of Bruning. It's now a feedlot.

I don't think there were any underground facilities in Bruning. More likely some derelict missile silo. Another possibility are remnants of the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant West of Grand Island. That's a fairly well-known place.

Pure fiction.

Could be the old air force radar station out towards Hastings as well. There were also a ton of old Atlas D and F missile silos in the broader Lincoln area which would fit with the "take a tunnel to access an underground room" part, but I have no clue if they still stand.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. | |

I forgot about the Cornhusker Ammo Plant. They made artillery ammo there in WWII and it was operated by a subsidiary of Quaker Oats. Making artillery ammo doesn't sound like a Quaker type of business, but hey. That's probably it. The hedges and the place being surrounded by barbed wire fences fits that location. The "showers" are probably sprinklers for fire suppression. BTW: those aren't aren't hedges, but the backstops of firing ranges. It's still an active military installation to some degree. A fair piece of it is a state wildlife area. There also a Hornady (ammunition manufacturer) plant on the former grounds and a potash mill.
