Is it worth cataloging every abandoned place I come across, or only ones that seem interesting? I only ask because there aren't many places I've been able to find on my own, seems that the city is ever-rapidly expanding and no plot of land is left abandoned for long before it gets demolished/repurposed. One place I came across within the last year was an abandoned restaurant that closed back in 2013, it's been set to be demolished sometime this year and a couple of friends already took a look inside, I thought it would be cool to check out but from the photos they sent it just seems to be completely stripped with nothing really left to show. Would this even be something worth posting/indexing here, or do I keep looking?

If you find it, post it since you're just starting out. As you gain more experience you'll get better at finding cooler spots. Nobody's going to judge you for posting an empty warehouse or a half-collapsed cottage, especially as a rookie.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. | |
I think it's worth cataloguing everything you come across. An empty barn might look boring, but maybe one day you'll need an empty barn for a particular photo shoot you came up with. A half-collapsed cottage might not sound cool, but it could turn out to have been the childhood home of someone important. Worth photographing, worth putting in the LDB if you have access, and can be posted about here if there's nothing else going on.

I mean i’ve been posting mostly any new place i’ve gone to just to get my post count up, and I doubt anyone will care if you most a “lame” place because someone is bound to find it interesting, even if it’s boring to you
just someone hoping to escape it all |
