A small recent adventure with the NJ mastermind EsseXplorer, at the very tail end of my recent trip to the States.
The remains of a former bank branch that became home to a daycare facility after closure. The bizarre juxtaposition of a bank vault surrounded by Disney and Nickelodeon characters will never get old.
At least the clearance work inside that tore down the awful suspended ceilings uncovered the original plasterwork, which was great to see.

And here I was expecting the characters to be littered in graffiti. Assuming others have been here, it’s kinda cool that the characters haven’t been covered up or defaced.

The best thing about the area where this bank is that pretty much everyone who is early to the good stuff keeps it low key. I have never seen any other photos before I went for the first time nor have I since. And this isn't even a particularly vulnerable location either.

You'd also never know what it was from the outside either, it just looks like any other storefront, which definitely helps keep it on the down low.
